GRILL SALMON  (WITH THE SKIN ON)

When it comes to salmon, the skin is kind of a tricky thing....do you grill salmon with the skin on or not? Follow along and learn how to grill salmon with the skin ON...

Why keep the skin on the salmon?

The skin protects the salmon and contains fat

The skin releases fat and the fat coats the grates making the fish easier to flip!

Salmon with the skin on is best for grilling!

INGREDIENTS

▢ salmon filets ▢ canola oil ▢ salt  ▢ black pepper ▢ lemon wedges

STEP 1

salmon by patting dry with a paper towel.

STEP 2

with salt and pepper

season

STEP 3

with olive oil  all over the salmon.

rub

STEP 4

the salmon, skin side down, on a preheated grill and cook for 5 minutes

STEP 5

the salmon (as long as it releases easily!)

flip

STEP 6

on the other side unti linternal temp is 130-135˚.

Making salmon on the grill with the skin on produces really flakey and flavorful salmon...squeeze with some lemon and serve!
