Start your day with fruit and yogurt parfaits!
One of my favorite ways to enjoy yogurt is to layer it with fruit and granola in a clear cup and make a fruit and yogurt parfait. There’s something that feels so fancy about the layers that can really take your snack to the next level. This is not really a recipe, but more of an assembly situation for fruit and yogurt parfaits with my tips for layering them like a parfait pro.
a fruit and yogurt parfait is easy, versatile and can be a really festive snack for different holidays. Think red, white and blue for the 4th of July with blueberries, and strawberries; black and orange for Halloween with blackberries and mangoes, or red and white for Valentine’s Day with raspberries and strawberries.
Happy Cooking!

Fruit and Yogurt Parfait Ingredients
- Berries: I use fresh strawberries and blueberries for red, white, and blue parfaits, but you can use any fruit you’d like. Bananas, mangoes, clementines, and peaches all work great. You can use frozen fruit. Just let it thaw ahead of time so it’s ready to eat when you assemble the parfaits.
- Yogurt: The recipe uses plain Greek yogurt, but it also works well with vanilla Greek yogurt, regular yogurt, or plant-based yogurt.
- Sugar: To macerate the strawberries. You can also use honey, agave, or pure maple syrup.
- Granola: It adds a nice crunchy texture to the parfait. Try my Cranberry Almond Granola or Chocolate Granola, or use your favorite store-bought granola.

Nutrition
Nutrition information provided is an estimate. It will vary based on cooking method and specific ingredients used.
Recipe Variations
- Add nuts. I like adding walnuts, pecans, almonds, and cashews in the granola layer for an extra crunch. Here’s how to toast walnuts, how to toast pecans, and how to toast almonds for even more flavor.
- Amp up the protein. Stir almond butter, peanut butter, or your favorite protein powder into the yogurt.
- Add chocolate. Top the parfaits with chocolate chips and/or whisk cocoa powder into the yogurt.
Recipe Tips
- User clear cups. Part of the fun of eating parfaits is seeing the colorful layers!
- Make sure the yogurt is cold. If it’s at room temperature, it may easily bleed into the other layers, affecting the presentation.
- Save the granola for the top. If you don’t plan to serve these parfaits immediately, I recommend skipping the granola layer so it doesn’t get soggy. When you’re ready to serve, place it on top of the parfaits.
FAQs
The fruit and yogurt parfaits are best enjoyed as soon as you’ve made them, but if you have leftovers, cover the cups with plastic wrap and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days.
You can macerate the strawberries the day before, but assemble the parfaits right before eating them so the layers stay separated.

Do you know what one cup is in cl or dl? I’m not American so we don’t use the measurement of cups.
I’m so sorry, I don’t! You could try looking it up with a conversion calculator online.
