Have you ever made crispy white beans? They are such a great snack idea that I learned about from @halburns on TikTok. You can use canned beans too but the texture is much better if you start with dry beans, plus less gas! 😉

Hi Yumna! Big fan here! LOVE your recipes, and you! Can you tell me what type of white beans you should use for this recipe? Cause when I went to the store to buy, there’s many types to choose from, kidney, navy, cannelli (I think), and maybe one or two more. I need your help, please!!?? Haha thanks in advance 😀
Hi Nicolle, thank you so much! You can use navy beans, cannellini beans, Great Northern beans, or any other white beans. I mix it up depending on what I have on hand in my pantry or whatever is available at the grocery store. Hope that helps!
That’s awesome, thank YOU so much! 🙂
What is the purpose of the nutritional yeast and is it necessary to soak the beans?
It adds a bit more flavor! If you use canned beans you do not have to soak them. If you cook them from dry, yes, you should soak the beans before cooking.
A Tasty and healthy snack
Happy you enjoyed them!
I don’t oven an air fryer. Could you give oven directions please? And thank you…
Hi there, I have not tried these in the oven yet myself, but I think you could roast them on a rimmed sheet pan in a 450˚F oven for about 15 minutes, stirring them halfway through cooking, until crisp.
Do can canned white kidney beans work the same?
You can use canned beans too but the texture is much better if you start with dry beans, plus less gas!
After you soak the beans, how do you cook them before putting them into the air fryer? Details please.
Hi there! I sometimes cook them in my instant pot using the “beans” setting, but you can also cook them on the stove top. Add the soaked beans to a pot and cover with water by 3 inches. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 80 to 100 minutes, or until tender.
