To prep the chicken, allow it to come to room temperature for 30 minutes and pat it dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper, then use your hands to rub it all over the chicken, making sure to get underneath the skin as well.
Preheat the air fryer to 350˚F and spray the basket with oil.
Place the chicken breast side down and cook for 30 minutes, then flip and cook breast side up for 20-30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the breast reaches 165˚F.
Rest the chicken for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
