Ingredients

  • 4-6 large sage leaves roughly torn
  • 2 limes zest and juice divided
  • ¼ cup simple syrup
  • 4 cups pomegranate juice
  • 4 cups club soda
  • ¼ cup pomegranate arils for serving
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Place the sage leaves, lime zest, and simple syrup in a small cup with a spout and use a muddler or the flat end or tip of a wooden spoon to gently press against the ingredients and turn in each direction to muddle them together.
  • Divide the sage syrup between four 16-ounce high-ball cups. Divide the pomegranate juice and reserved lime juice between the cups.
  • When ready to serve, add the club soda and stir gently to combine. Garnish with pomegranate arils and lime wedges and add ice if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Storage: The sage syrup can be made a day or two ahead, but I recommend making the pomegranate mocktail right before serving.
