Air Fryer Steak Recipe
Air fryer steak is best made with NY Strip or Ribeye steak with simple seasonings, a quick salt and rest and just a few minutes to cook in the air fryer.

- 2 Ribeye or New York Strip steaks about 1-inch thickness
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
Allow the steaks to come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub the steaks with olive oil and season liberally with salt and pepper on both sides.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Arrange the steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket and air fry for 5 minutes. Flip once and continue air frying about 5–7 more minutes, until cooked through and internal temperature reaches between 135°F for medium rare or 150°F for medium well on an instant-read meat thermometer.
Top with salted butter and let the steak rest for 5 minutes. Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
