For each variation of marinade, whisk the marinade ingredients together in a shallow bowl. Add the flank steak on top and turn the meat over so it is well coated.
Let sit for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours, flipping the meat once or twice during the marinating time, then cook as desired.
