What are salmon cakes anyway?

Think of salmon cakes like you would a crab cake!

Got a shellfish allergy? Salmon cakes are the perfect alternative!

These restaurant quality salmon cakes are light, tender and are a one bowl recipe!

INGREDIENTS

▢ salmon fillets ▢ eggs ▢ shallots  ▢ garlic ▢ lemon zest and juice ▢ Dijon mustard ▢ paprika ▢ cumin ▢ almond flour ▢ cornstarch ▢ salt and pepper ▢ mayonnaise ▢ dill

STEP 1

the eggs, shallot, garlic, lemon zest, mustard and seasonings until combined.

in some almond flour and cornstarch along with the salmon pieces.

STEP 3

a patty out of 1/4 cup of salmon mixture and dip in almond flour and fry in a skillet until golden 2-3 minutes per side.

If you are freezing uncooked patties, thaw them in the fridge overnight before cooking as per the recipe. If freezing cooked cakes you can cook them right from frozen in the oven at 400F for around 10 minutes.

You can make these salmon patties ahead of time or freeze for later...SOOO good!
